LINEAPELLE LONDON

The 22nd edition of LINEAPELLE LONDON, which was held on Tuesday 9th July at the design space of the Ham Yard Hotel, attracted a vast audience of British creativity in an informal atmosphere.

There were 40 exhibitors (including 32 Italian) divided as follows: 26 tanneries, 6 manufacturers of accessories and components and 8 of fabrics and synthetics, presenting the Winter 2020-21 samples.

The usual stylistic seminars organised by the Lineapelle Fashion Committee were on the agenda, during which the 2020-21 Winter trends were presented, summarised by the EQ - EMOTIONAL QUOTIENT concept, which identifies our emotional quotient as a unit of measurement for the digital revolution. The new season's theme is a dialogue between the perfect and the imperfect, the interference / coexistence between the natural and the technological.

During the London event, the Genuine Italian Vegetable Tanned Leather Consortium gave a seminar entitled "Inherent Vice & the Virtuous Cluster: the case of Vegetable Tanned Leather in Tuscany" where the point was made on Circular Economy in the fashion world: how a by-product destined for landfill is transformed into a biodegradable material through a process that generates organic fertilisers and returns purified water to the territory's agricultural heritage.

There were over 550 visitors, an increase by 6% compared to the July 2018 edition. Mostly British high-end brands, global luxury brands, many stylists and stylistic consultancy offices, as well as artisan companies and start-ups looking for innovative solutions and production flexibility.

The next edition of LINEAPELLE LONDON will be held on 21 January 2020.
