The project ''Towards Zero Adverse Impact of the European Leather Industry (Green Deal Leather)'' started in September 2022, funded by the EU Commission as part of the European Social Dialogue in the tanning industry.

Within the project, the confederation of European tanners, Cotance, and the EU trade union representation, IndustriAll, with the active collaboration of the national tanning associations of Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Austria and Hungary, have collected data and information on health and safety in European tanneries.

On Tuesday 19 September at 2.00 pm, an international workshop to present the results of the project and the analysis will take place in Lineapelle Rho Fiera Milano (LEM Ponte dei Mari - PAV.22 side).

The aim of the workshop is to objectively analyze the evolution and state of the art of accidents and accidents at work in the European tanning industry, providing tools for understanding the improvements and perfecting the current situation. With the final goal of protecting the human and social capital of tanning and at the same time creating new job opportunities.
