SCIENCE BASED FASHION TALKS - February 2024

The Science Based Fashion Talks, organised in collaboration with SPIN360 (a company specialising in innovation and sustainability in the world of fashion and luxury), offer a rich agenda of inclusive and culturally elevated meetings and debates on science, innovation and the market, of industrial interest. The appointments will be a moment to explore five topics that are central to the future, with the involvement of international speakers from the world of science, international institutions, brands and companies in the sector.

THE EU DEFORESTATION REGULATION (EUDR) N. 1115/2023 AND THE TRACEABILITY CHALLENGE IN THE BOVINE LEATHER SUPPLY CHAIN
Traceability is currently one of the main topics of interest regarding the leather supply chain, since it is a material that is produced and marketed on a global scale. The session will focus on the provisions of the new EU regulation on deforestation, the methods of implementation and the related uncertainties; it will also present some food for thoughts for supply chain operators on the current situation.

New circular materials are raising every day and there is a need for a need for critical and pragmatic approach to navigate among the many opportunities.
