NATIONAL SKILLS STRATEGY FOR THE FUTURE OF THE MADE IN ITALY TCLF FASHION MANUFACTURING SECTORS
The European Union supports the fashion sector to face major challenges: the shortage of new generations, the skills gap, and the low appeal for young talents. The multi-year project METASKILLS4TCLF strengthens the dialogue between companies, education centers, and institutions. The goal is to train qualified young professionals with the skills that today’s markets need. During this event, European representatives of the project, Confindustria Accessori Moda, and national experts will present an exclusive preview of the new National Strategy.

GREENWASHING DIRECTIVE: MARKET IMPACT AND FIGHT AGAINST MISLEADING COMMERCIAL PRACTICES
The European Directive (EU) 2024/825 prohibits greenwashing and misleading commercial practices. In Italy, it has been fully transposed through Legislative Decree No. 30/2026, which will enter into force on 27 September 2026. Sustainability marks, claims and labels will only be permitted if they are based on official third-party certification schemes or schemes established by public authorities; “green labels” created by companies themselves will be prohibited.
