On February 23rd, the award ceremony of the 6th edition of the “Amici per la Pelle” contest was held at LINEAPELLE, at Fiera Milano’s Polar Star Auditorium. The competition, promoted by UNIC-LINEAPELLE, was aimed to students from the II and III classes of the middle schools in the tanning districts of Campania, Lombardy, Tuscany and Veneto. “Toy Tan: toys and their historical and cultural evolution” was the subject for this edition, joined by 12 institutes.

About 1,100 students attended, accompanied by teachers, school managers, institutional representatives. The children, supported by their teachers, modelled leather toys, drawing inspiration from a great variety of toys from any era or from their imagination, with the creativity typical of children. Leathers were kindly provided by tanneries in the various districts.

The 53 works were displayed during the 3 exhibition days in hall 9, in a stand solely devoted to this project. The contest got votes from a technical jury, from visitors and online, on UNIC’s social channel, which got over 120,000 contacts.

The first prize was won by “La sfida dei regni” (Clash of kingdoms)  - Leonardo da Vinci Institute (Castelfranco di Sotto – Pisa)
